Intro

Nathen, a Canadian Montrealer from Laval speaking four languages, is a renowned branding specialist and is passionate about branding, technology, and entertainment. He collaborated with the brand gurus of America, Laura Ries and Al Ries, a prominent marketing strategist and co-author of several influential marketing books, best known for pioneering the concept of "positioning" in the field of marketing. Nathen initially made a name for himself in Saudi Arabia, attracting attention from major global brands across diverse sectors like tourism, banking, technology, hospitality, FMCG, and even equestrian, including Riyad Bank, Burger King, Al Hokair Group (Sparkys Amusements Parks), Dirab Golf Resort, and cafes like Munch Bakery. His expertise led to appearances on CNBC Arabia regularly, Rotana, Arab News, Saudi TV, Arab Ad, and more.

Nathen pioneered the first Brandnomix seminar, utilizing video projection mapping to highlight branding's influence on the economy on a micro and macro level called Brandnomics. This event received endorsement from guest of honor, HRH Prince Saud bin Sultan bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Kabeer and was sponsored by Al Marai, the largest dairy brand, along with JCDecaux Media.

Nathen's entrepreneurial journey continued as he sold his advertising agency, A3 Communications, which managed blue-chip accounts with ad spendings of $3 million, at the age of 25, to a notable young Saudi entrepreneur from a family famed for their water drilling ventures in the 1950s in Saudi Arabia.

Subsequently, Nathen Mazri joined Souq.com, a leading Middle Eastern marketplace in Dubai, which was acquired by Amazon.com for $580 million in 2017. He learned the importance of SaaS, e-commerce, and onboarding brands.

After living in Los Angeles for a while, he then took up a role in his family franchising business in Dubai as the VP of Marketing & Branding for prominent Canadian food brands like Mr. Sub, Jugo Juice, and Van Houtte Cafe, under MTY Group. This group, which oversees more than 70 brands with over 5500 outlets generating over $2 billion in sales, is listed on the TSE:MTY.

In 2019, following a successful prototype in Dubai in 2018, Mr. Mazri introduced GarfieldEATS, his unique tech-infused fast-food chain in Toronto based on the beloved orange cat Garfield, for which he licensed the intellectual property rights to establish the world’s first GarfieldEATS restaurant and delivery app. Jim Davis, the executive producer and cartoonist, praised Nathen Mazri and the concept as incredibly unique, and an UberEATS spokesman in the Globe and Mail Newspaper noted Nathen's ambition to revolutionize fast food with lasagna as an entergaging Quick Mobile Restaurant (Eat, Play, Shop, Earn), even when ghost kitchens weren’t even a thing. Mr. Mazri will forever leave a footprint in the Garfield universe and be remembered, as per Honisoit, Eater, Mel Magazine, and over 500 interviews and stories, as well as 20 million impressions online and a strong fanbase on social media—all from Garfield fans. Nathen then founded Scooby-Doo EATS, officially licensed from Warner Bros., frozen foods with a clean label mission partnering with regenerative farmers found in groceries across Ontario, Canada.

Nathen’s entire life path in branding and licensing brought him to this golden point exactly, where he discovered the problems and pain of the licensing industry and found a gap to solve intelligently. As of 2022, Nathen embarked on a new disruptive first-mover and start-up, Egeez Technologies, aiming to connect millions of fans with verified global manufacturing licensees of major entertainment properties (Pokémon, Mickey Mouse, Spider Man, One Piece, etc.) directly, at lower prices.
